Applications are invited from the Indian citizen for filling up of a few positions under the “Agro-Economic Research Centre for NE India”,Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India located at the Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. 1. Name of the Post : Typist
No. of Post : 01 (One)
Age Limit : Maximum of 44 Years as on 01.01.2018

Pay Scale : Rs,5,200-20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2,500/- PM (Pre-revised)

Essential Qualification : Graduate in Arts / Science / Commerce from any recognised University with high proficiency in Computer Typing application with a minimum speed of 40 w. p. m.


2. Name of the Post : PA to Director

No. of Post : 01 (One)

Age Limit : Maximum of 44 Years as on 01.01.2018

Pay Scale : Rs,8,000-35,000/- + Grade Pay Rs.4,900/- PM (Pre-revised)

Essential Qualification :

1. Graduate in Arts / Science / Commerce from any recognised University with good command over English and knowledge of Computer Application.
2. Diploma in Stenography with a speed of 120 W. P. M in Short hand and 40 W. P. M in Type Writing.

3. Name of the Post : Research Fellow (RF)
No. of Post : 01 (One) on Contractual Basis.
Age Limit : Maximum of 44 Years as on 01.01.2018
Salary : Rs,16,000/- + HRA+MA as Admissible per month

Essential Qualification : Minimum second class Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics/ Economics /Statistics from any recognised University and working knowledge of computer application.

Experience : Performance of the candidates will be judged on the basis of their academic career, experience in the line and overall personality.

Fee : Rs.300/- in case of General Category and Rs.150/- in case of SC/ST/PH Category.

General Instruction : 

• Mere possessing the required qualification will not make a candidate eligible for the post.
• No TA/DA will be borne by the Centre for appearing in the test/interview, if called for.
• In service candidates  shall have to send their application through proper channel.The age of a deserving candidate shall be relaxable by the number of full years of service rendered in AAU/ICAR/CSIR/DST/SAU & other Govt.Institutes upto a maximum of 5 years, as supported by the relevant documents.
• Maximum age is relaxable for the candidates belonging to the reserved category as per Govt. Rules.
• The services of the selected candidates shall be governed by new CPF Rules.
• Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected.
