Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati and SNA-NEC, at Guwahati and SNA-NEC (Regional), at Agartala are three Centres set up for promotion and dissemination Sattriya Dance and folk performing arts of the north-eastern regions of India by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The appointment will be purely on CONTRACT BASIS, initially for a period of One year extendable by 03 (Three) years after review of performance on yearly basis by a Selection Committee constituted by the Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for engagement as Project Directors at the following Centres of SNA on contract basis :-


1. Name pf the Post : Project Director (Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati)

No. of Post : 01
Age Limit : Between 40 to 55 Years
Salary : Rs.40,000/- P.M inclusive of all the benefits.
Educational Qualification : 

a) Post Graduate Degree preferably in humanities/social sciences/music/dance/drama

b) Understanding and knowledge of performing arts as performer/writer/producer,

c) Experience in formulating, planning and administering of projects/schemes dealing with performing arts especially in folk performing arts of the northeastern region.

d) Knowledge of Government Rules and Regulations

Desirable Qualification : Minimum 5 years of working experience as Head of any reputed institution/organisation in the field of performing arts.

2. Name pf the Post : Project Director (SNA-NEC, Guwahati)
No. of Post : 01
Age Limit : Between 40 to 55 Years
Salary : Rs.40,000/- P.M inclusive of all the benefits.
Educational Qualification : 

a) Post Graduate Degree preferably in humanities/social sciences/music/dance/drama

b) Understanding and knowledge of performing arts as performer/writer/producer,
