Indian Air Force invites Indian citizens (Male and Female) to be part of the Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Registration for Online Applications will open on 16.06.2018 and Close on 15.07.2018 through https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in OR https://afcat.cdac.in and Online examination will be conducted on 18 Aug 2018 and 19 Aug 2018.
Online Applications are invited for the Courses Commencing in July 2019 for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent
Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty
(Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Online applications are also invited
for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For grant of PC/SSC in Flying Branch) and
Meteorology Branch.

(a) Flying Branch : 20 to 24 years as on 01 Jul 2019 i.e. born between 02 July 1995 to 01 July 1999 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding Valid and Current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1993 to 01 July 1999 (both dates inclusive).
(b) Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches) : 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2019 i.e. born between 02 July 1993 to 01 July 1999 (both dates inclusive).
(a) PC for Male : Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the Age of superannuation as per their branch and rank.
Training : Training will Commence in the First week of July 2019 for All courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of Training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments. PAN Card and account in SBI/ Nationalised Bank is mandatory at the time of joining Air Force Academy. Aadhaar Card is mandatory for registration.
*Note : Flight Cadets shall receive a Fixed Stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during the period of training.

Type of Commission :

(b) SSC for Male & Women : (i) The engagement period for Flying Branch SSC officers is Fourteen (14) Years from the date of Commissioning (Non extendable).
(ii) The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and
Non-Tech) branches would be for a period of Ten (10) years. An Extension of Four (04) Years may be granted subject to service
requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.

Examination fee for AFCAT Entry : After filling in the Online Application form, the Examination fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) for AFCAT entry (Not applicable for NCC special entry and Meteorology) may be paid online through the ‘Make Payment’ step on the main menu of the online application. No cash or cheque or demand draft (DD) will be accepted towards payment of examination fee. The examination fee can be paid using credit/debit cards/ net banking through the payment gateway.
