Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN/NEPALESE CITIZENS from States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya and Manipur to join as Airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group "Y‟ (Non-Technical) {Automobile Technician and Indian Air Force (Police)} will be held at Air Force Station Borjhar, Guwahati, Assam as per the Selection Programme given below.

Name of the Post : Group "Y" (Non-Technical) {Automobile Technician and Indian Air Force (Police)}

Age Limit :  Candidates born between 14 July 1998 and 26 June 2002 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

Educational Qualification : Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Pay & Allowances : During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) shall be Rs. 26,900/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual, as per applicable Government rules plus other admissible allowances.

The Recruitment Test shall be conducted from 6 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates (from States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya and Manipur) fulfilling the domicile requirements and eligibility conditions reporting up to 10 AM on 01 September 2018 and 03 September 2018 at Air Force Station Borjhar, Guwahati (Rally Venue) shall only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

Job Description : 

(a) Automobile Technician : As an Automobile Technician you shall drive all types of light, medium and heavy automobiles, load carriers and specialist vehicles like cranes, towing tractors, fork lifters etc., subject to service exigencies. You shall also carry out minor repairs, day to day maintenance and basic level servicing of the common user vehicles and specialist vehicles in the Indian Air Force inventory.

(b) Indian Air Force (Police) : As an Indian Air Force (Police) your responsibilities involve assuming police duties and investigation of offences. You are also in-charge of maintenance of security.

Publishing of Provisional Select List (PSL) : The Provisional Select List (PSL) will be displayed at 11 Airmen Selection Centre, VIP Chowk, Borjhar, Guwahati, Assam - 781015 on 30 April 2019. Copies of the Display List will also be sent to District Magistrate of Guwahati (through Airmen Selection Centre) and will also be available at Central Airmen Selection Board web portal www.airmenselection.cdac.in . The inclusion of names of the candidates in the PSL depends upon the performance of the candidates in the Rally. Inclusion of name in the PSL does not guarantee automatic enrolment. Enrolment is strictly in order of merit from the PSL subject to medical fitness, availability of vacancies, not exceeding the age of 21 years on date of enrolment and meeting other laid down eligibility criteria as and when called for enrolment. The validity of PSL shall be 06 months from the date of display and shall be applicable only for Intake No. 02/2019.
